Such tiny seeds but they pack such a punch!

This herb, with its elongated leaves and pokey flowers is amazing in puerto rican sofrito. Just a few leaves will do! It has a cilantro like flavor but it is much stronger. When you grow this, keep an eye out for flower stalks and as soon as they appear, pinch them so that you do not give it a chance to flower because if it is allowed to go to seed, it will die! Regularly picking the leaves will promote growth and when you water the plant from the bottom, it works better than when you water on top of the soil. This is definitely a must-have for Puerto Rican dishes!
