Senna hebecarpa

Native to North America, this ornamental plant is sure to impress with its clusters of light yellow to orange flowers atop a sparsely branched perennial or in axils of compound leaves.

Unlike other pea-like flowers, these blooms are truly unique and a standout in any garden. With a stout central stem and even-pinnate compound leaves containing 10-20 leaflets, this long-lived herbaceous perennial can reach heights of up to 6 feet.

Wild Senna thrives in moist meadows, pastures, fields, or roadsides in full or partial sun, making it a versatile addition to any landscape. This stunning plant is available for production as plugs, with seed sown indoors at least 7 weeks before transplanting seedlings outdoors.

Scarification: Soak in hot tap water, let stand in water for 24 hours, repeat process on seed that did not imbibe|Soak in hot tap water, let stand in water for 24 hours
