Coconut coir growing medium comes from the coconut's fibrous husk (known as coir) that is bound together by lignin (known as pith).  With the addition of water, coir expands to an easy to work with growing medium. The addition of water increases the volume 3 to 9 times, depending on the packaging of products. This process results in a 100% organic, biodegradable growing medium, making it a natural and safe growth medium of choice for growers

Each packet contains 4 varieties of organic soil amendments which make up our DIY Organic Liquid Fertilizer Mix

My favorite bee friendly plants are Spanish Needle as they grow everywhere wild plus my cows love to eat them! Some people see them as weeds but every plant has a purpose!

Randy,

I am not sure about which plants are bee friendly, but I see bees around sunflowers and lilac bushes and I like those

David Smith,

I think my favorite would have to be borage! It’s so pretty, and the bees and butterflies love them!

Ashley F.,

My favorite pollinator flowers are all native wildflowers that grow here naturally without any human input. The one that intrigued me the most has been identified as one of several species of milkweed. It has large umbels of small green fleshy flowers that bees & butterflies can’t seem to resist. I make sure that no mowing is done here before all the wildflowers go to seed so that my wildflowers come back year after year.

J. L. Emerson ,

In my yard fairy duster and lantana along with any citrus that is in bloom seem to be the most popular with the bees. Okra blooms as well…..

John House,

I grew a Morniga Tree from seed this year. It has already went into bloom. The bees love love love the little white flowers. It really is very pretty and unique. Sunflower is my all time favorite though.

Shawna Powell,

I love the Orange Glory plant, it is so rare butthe bees and butterflies love it too. Thanks for an opportunity to win some more seeds.

Robert McDowell,

My favorite bee friendly plant is sunflower. Love my homegrown sunflower seeds!

Jodi Hooyman,

Mint, sunflowers and hollyhocks!

Cali Moore ,

I have several bee friendly plants but my bees will fight me for the lavendar blooms. So I just follow them and cut my blooms as they behind them as they go from bloom to bloom :)

Noretta vonHelm ,

I love lavender.

Jennifer L.,

My favorite bee friendly plant is mint.

Sue D,

My favorite is bee balm or just about any other herb. The bees love them. Especially my salvia.

Melissa White,

I like all flowers and I have a cactus on my deck the bee’s even like.

Jill Hanson,

I love anise hyssop!! Both the bees and I are enamored with its scent and beautiful flowers. Now that I have it in my garden, I promise you, it’s not going anywhere!!!

Nina,

My fave bee-friendly plant is the mighty sunflower!
