I haven’t seen as many bees this year, unfortunately, as I have in other years. The plant I have that attracts the most bees and butterflies is my large Bottlebrush shrub. When in bloom, it is like an insect city with all the activity!
My favorite bee plant is my strawberries, they love them.
My lemon tree really pulls in the bees and bears fruit year round!
My favorite flowers to attract the pollinators are nasturtium & borage!
I love borage and so do the bees in Texas. Borage is so easy to grow and reseeds itself (a lot!). I am planting it under my fruit trees so they will have more pollinators and I can get more fruit!
Love your videos, love your seeds. Hope to win, cuz sowing cucumbers 3 times to try and outsmart the birds, and slugs is trying.
Thankyou!
Lavender is the best!
I have a lot bee friendly flower faves but number one has to be my chamomile. I just have to be mindful of which variety to grow with my annual plants.
Just starting. I hope the bees will love the calendula and sunflowers I got from Mary!
I attract a lot of bees at my coneflowers. I have white, purple, berry, and yellow coneflowers. They really buzz around. I leave them alone, they leave me alone.
My bees love my lavender and sunflowers!
Bee Balm
Favorite Bee friendly plant is hard to choose, so many great options. I will have to go with flax. The flowers are so beautiful blue/purple and seeing the bumblebees trying to get into the smaller flax flowers is adorable. They went wild over the flax this year, it was their favorite.
Bee balm (Monarda), tied with dandelion (as in my back yard Church of the Holy Dandelion)!
Sunflowers!
