Banana squash plants can be traced back to ancient sites in Peru and were traded across the Americas. Pink banana squash is also known as Mexican Banana and Plymouth Rock and was introduced to the market in 1893.
Fine flavored, dry, sweet, orange flesh that is superbly fine tasting. Popular on the West Coast. Excellent for homemade Squash Pie!

Great!
These seeds produced a massive harvest. Two plants produced 9 of these giant squash. One weighed in at 19 pounds! The leaves are HUGE! Be sure if you are growing these to give them lots of space to grow out. They will take over everything! They make for a great pumpkin substitute in all pumpkin recipes. My family prefers that I use the banana squash over pumpkin because the banana squash has a sweeter taste.

I got these last year and we did get a few plants going. The squash we picked ended up being very large and we loved the flavor! Definitely planting again!
