This unique melon dates back over 1000 years and originated in northern Iraq. Bateekh Samara translates to "old melon from Samara."
Plants yield amazing quantities of oblong melons with netted, gray-green rinds and vibrant lime-green flesh. Flavor is distinct from other honeydew, with a tart, almost citrusy flavor.
