Witloof Chicory
60 to 160 days. 'Witloof' chicory originated in Belgium in the mid-1800s. Witloof is Flemish for "white leaf." Also known as Belgian endive, Witloof Chicory is a biennial herbceous plant belonging to the family Asteraceae.
Plant produces excellent yields of 12 to 18" tall light green chicory. A European delicacy now popular in America. It is very sweet and delicious. Adds color and flavor to mixed salad.
