85 days. The Oriental Yard Long, also called Asparagus Bean, produces pods that can grow to be anywhere from one to three feet long.

Yard-long beans have a taste similar to that of a green bean, and the pods cook very quickly due to their shape. They require support from a fence or pole so that their vines can grow up and provide the room necessary for the pods to grow to their full size and weight. The plant can grow in a variety of climates, thriving in zones three to nine.

Love this bean!

I have grown this two seasons now and it produces pretty well in south Texas, where it is hot and humid. The beans taste fantastic and the plants are hardy with our climate. I refrigerate these beans until we eat them, but I found that they did not hold up well with freezing- the texture was a little off when they were cooked after thawed. That's ok, we will eat these one fresh! They are that good!

Better Than Blue Lake

These Jade bush beans are probably the best green bean I've ever grown and tasted! They produce well, are nice and long, and easy to snap, cook and can. Now that I know how wonderful these are I will definitely plant more next season. Thank you Mary for these fantastic beans!

The Best Snap Pea EVER

Hands down the best snap pea we ever had! Even the kids will go into my garden and break the vines trying to get all these peas! This is a must try and you will grow every year!

Plastic Whiskey Barrell Aproved

I planted seeds in half of a plastic whiskey barrel four years ago. Now, it comes up by itself every year from a tomato falled on dirt. Decembet 22, 2024 and it's still producing sweet tomatoes. Thrives in Texas heat.

Hope I can start these in the house early next spring.

Cant wait to plant these beauties!
