70 days. Aunt Molly's Ground Cherry is EASY to grow!  Great for jams, preserves or eaten fresh.

First recorded in Pennsylvania in 1837, this historic Polish variety is a delightful combination of sweet and tart, with notes of vanilla and pineapple.

The plants have a sprawling habit and produce ½-¾" fruits encased in a papery husk. Unripe fruit — light green — can be toxic in large quantities.

Ripe fruits are light to golden yellow. When ripe the fruit turns a golden orange color and drops to the ground.

Contains approx 20 heirloom seeds

Planting info:

Sow seeds 1/4" deep.  Keep soil moist but not waterlogged.

Seeds usually germinate in 7-14 days.

Grows quickly

Give them space because they take a lot of room. Vigorous grower and productive. Chickens love them.

Such a great tropical flavor!

I grew these years ago. And there are sweeter and have more of a fruity taste than the regular peruvian ground cherry. It's my favorite. If you've never had this before, I highly reccommend it!
