My favorite pollinator so far (as I begin my journey into gardening….and am trying not to let myself believe I have the black thumb I was so scared of) I’ve decided is the nasturtium or sweet allysum, mostly because they seem to be the all around protectors of all of our plant, flower, veggie, and fruit friends and they’re beautiful, saving our planet, and nasturtiums sweetness brings hummingbirds!!!!!! Which I clearly love! I love wildflower “bombs” too for the bees and am even considering maybe some beekeeping in my future. Thank you so much for your posts here! I’m learning so much and I wish I could pick your brain face to face but I’m about to do the next best thing: binge your videos. Thank you thank you thank you, for turning what I thought of as another hyperfixation into a full fledged love and excitement for what each day brings with them.

I planted seeds in half of a plastic whiskey barrel four years ago. Now, it comes up by itself every year from a tomato falled on dirt. Decembet 22, 2024 and it's still producing sweet tomatoes. Thrives in Texas heat.
